Anderson, who has 10 Test caps, suffered a broken finger while playing in the Indian Premier League with the Mumbai Indians and will miss the rest of the tournament.

New Zealand already have a number of players at the IPL who will miss the first two matches of the tour before joining up with the remainder of the squad in time for the first Test at Lord's.
