Former skipper Shoaib Malik and wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal have been recalled by Pakistan for next month's ICC World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.
Malik has not played in a Twenty20 international since November, while Akmal is back in favour after last playing in the 2013 Champions Trophy in England.
Batsman Fawad Alam, ignored by the selectors since 2010, is also back in the 15-man squad.
Key fast bowler Umar Gul - recognised as one of the best T20 bowlers in the world - has been passed fit to play. He has played in only three one-day internationals in the last 11 months due to knee surgery.
"Malik, Kamran and Fawad have been rewarded for their good form in domestic cricket," said acting chief selector Azhar Khan.
His fellow fast bowler Mohammad Irfan misses out because of a hip injury he suffered during a T20 match with South Africa in Dubai in November.
