Nasir Jamshed and Umar Amin have been omitted from Pakistan's one-day squad for their five-match series against Sri Lanka which starts next week.
Jamshed and Amin were part of the ODI squad which won on South African soil last month which was Pakistan's first-ever series success against the Proteas.
During those three 50-over matches, Jamshed made two and 24, while Amin hit 25 on his only appearance.
And neither will be heading to Sharjah for the opening ODI fixture which begins next Wednesday.
Amin played in this week's first T20 international against the same opposition, while Sharjeel Khan replaces Jamshed.
Pacemen Umar Gul and Mohammad Irfan were not considered as both are still recovering from injuries, and there was also no place for either Shoaib Malik or Abdul Razzaq.
Pakistan will also play three Tests against Sri Lanka for which a squad will be announced at a later date.
The remaining ODIs will be on December 20-22-25-27.
