England have slipped to fourth in the ICC Test rankings following their third Test defeat to West Indies in Barbados.
Alastair Cook’s side had looked set to hang on to third spot behind South Africa and Australia when they took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series after winning the second Test in Grenada.
However, their five-wicket reverse in Bridgetown, which enabled the West Indies to level the series at 1-1, saw them overtaken by Pakistan although they will return to the trop three without playing if Pakistan fail to beat Bangladesh in Mirpur this week.
In the batting rankings, a first Test hundred in two years saw England captain Cook rise five places to 22nd, but Joe Root and Gary Ballance dropped two spots each to seventh and 19th respectively.
James Anderson, who collected 17 wickets in the series at an average of 18, remains in second place in the bowling rankings.
West Indies No 6 Jermaine Blackwood was rewarded for his man-of-the-match performance at the Kensington Oval, with scores of 85 and 47 not out, with a jump of 31 places to 37th in the batting list.
