Suspended Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez will have his bowling action officially tested next week.

The International Cricket Council said the off-spinner will be assessed at Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai, India, on April 9.

Hafeez was suspended from bowling after he was reported during a Test match against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi in November.

His elbow exceeded beyond the allowed 15-degree limit during a test in London.

The former T20 skipper was due to be re-tested during the World Cup, where he was picked as a batsman, but returned home before the tournament began in February due to a foot injury.
