Former coach of Australia Mickey Arthur claims to be close to making an announcement about his future and says he hopes it will 'come to fruition soon.'
The South African was sacked shortly before the start of the Ashes series and earlier this week agreed a financial settlement with Cricket Australia after taking legal action against his former employers.
Arthur was ousted two weeks before the start of the Ashes, while already in England, with two years left on his contract - and was replaced Darren Lehmann.
Without going into detail about his future, Arthur told a Perth radio station: "There are a couple of options out there.
"I've had a couple of discussions. I'll see how that unfolds over the next few weeks.
"I'm just hoping that one of the discussions I had last week comes to fruition because if it does, it will be quite exciting for me.
"The one thing my family said to me when all this happened was 'Just understand, we're not leaving Perth. We love Perth. We love Western Australia. Whatever I do, I want to try to do it from here."
What will be the result at Old Trafford?
