Seamer Tim Southee will play no further part in New Zealand's tour match against England Lions after hurting his foot while bowling on Saturday morning.
Southee - a key part of the Black Caps' frontline pace attack for the two-Test series set to start against England at Lord's next week - will see a specialist to assess the injury later on Saturday.
A statement from New Zealand Cricket, however, made it clear the 24-year-old pace bowler is not yet considered a doubt for the first Test.
"Black Caps head coach Mike Hesson said he was confident that Southee would be fit and available for selection for the first Investec Test starting at Lord's on Thursday," a press release read.
Southee bowled 14 overs at Grace Road on Friday, but was in pain after five more today.
