Flintoff: Quitting Tests

Andrew Flintoff has announced his retirement from Test cricket in a bid to concentrate on the shorter form of the game.

Flintoff, who has played 75 Tests in 11 years, confirmed his plans to step down after the Ashes in a statement on Wednesday.

The decision brings down the curtain on the Test career of the talented all-rounder, who has taken 219 wickets and 3,708 runs.

The highlight of the 31-year-old's career came in 2005 as he played a pivotal role in the Ashes triumph.
