Australia: Injured Shane Watson misses trip to Middle East

Shane Watson has suffered another injury setback after being ruled out of Australia's trip to the United Arab Emirates to take on Pakistan.

The all-rounder has a calf injury and will miss the month-long trip to the Middle East.

Watson was also absent from the recent ODI tri-series involving Zimbabwe and South Africa after stepping on a ball during training and hurting an ankle.      

Tasmania bowler Ben Hilfenhaus will replace Watson in the Test squad, while Kane Richardson will take over for the limited-overs games.

Australia have already lost skipper Michael Clarke due to a hamstring injury for the early games of the tour but he may recover in time for the Test series.

A Twenty20 match on October 5, will be followed by three ODIs before the first Test begins on October 22.
