England captain Charlotte Edwards made no excuses for her side's six-wicket defeat in the Women's ICC World Twenty20 final against Australia.
Asked to bat, England were restricted to 105-8 in Dhaka with Heather Knight's 29 the top score.
Australia eased to their target with 29 balls to spare, skipper Meg Lanning's 44 off 30 deliveries leading the way, and have now won three World T20s in a row.
"We were completely outplayed today by a very good Australian team," said Edwards, whose team were beaten by the same opponents in the 2012 final.
"We just weren't good enough today. Australia bowled extremely well, backed it up in the field by taking their catches and we never quite got going, kept losing wickets at key stages. 105 was never going to be enough in a World Cup final.
"Congratulations to Australia, it's an outstanding achievement to win three World T20s in a row."
England failed to hit a six during the tournament, something Edwards wants to see rectified in the future.
"It's an area we have to improve on," she said. "Our boundary hitting has been a real strength in the past. We've not hit enough on this trip (although) we've not batted that much because we've bowled so well.
"We'll go back and work on it and hopefully, come 2016, we'll be hitting it over the boundary rope."
England seamer Anya Shrubsole was named player of the tournament for her 13 wickets in six matches.
"It's been a really good tournament," said the Somerset bowler. "Australia were the better team on the day and deserved to win but we can be proud of what we've done."
Lanning was happy with the way Australia improved steadily during the event, culminating in a "perfect" performance in the final.
"It's such a great feeling," said Lanning, who finished as the leading run scorer with 257 in six innings.
"We had great form coming in and put another performance on the board. We built throughout the tournament and played a pretty perfect game to finish."
On choosing to bowl first, Lanning said: "I was erm-ing and ah-ing but it was a good decision in the end.
"We wanted to be really positive (in the run chase), go out there and play our shots like we usually do. It seemed to work really well."
