Adam Voges has withdrawn from Australia's one-day squad for the tour of South Africa in order to get married.
Voges, 29, informed the selectors of his decision after realising the visit clashed with his planned nuptials on April 5.
The big-hitting batsman asked if he could return home between the first (Apr 3) and third (Apr 9) one-day internationals to tie the knot.
But that request has been turned down by Cricket Australia, prompting Voges to pull out of the tour.
He has been replaced by fellow Western Australia all-rounder Marcus North, who is already in South Africa as part of the Test squad.
"Adam informed us yesterday (Monday) that he was withdrawing from the tour," Australia's chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said in a statement.
"Obviously this is a difficult decision for Adam to make and the NSP (national selection panel) understands the position he's in and the decision he's made.
"Marcus was closely considered for original selection given his good form...We're sure Marcus is in prime form to take this opportunity."
Australia are scheduled to play two Twenty20 internationals at the New Wanderers (Mar 27) and Supersport Park (Mar 29), followed by a five-match 50-over series.
