The West Indies have included the uncapped Veerasammy Permaul in their squad for next month's tour of Bangladesh.

The Guyanese left-arm spinner impressed the selectors with his 21-wicket haul in all formats during the recent trip to Bangladesh with the West Indies High Performance Centre.

The 23-year-old has played in 45 first-class matches in his five-year career, collecting 152 wickets at an average of 24.59.

Permaul also captained the West Indies A team to victory over India A earlier this year, and he will provide back-up for Sunil Narine in Bangladesh.

The Windies have also handed a recall to batsman Kirk Edwards, who was dropped after a torrid tour of England during the summer.

The ICC World Twenty20 champions kick off their tour on November 3, and will play two Tests, five one-day internationals and one Twenty20 match.

West Indies squad:

D Sammy, D Ramdin, T Best, D Bravo, S Chanderpaul, N Deonarine, K Edwards, A Fudadin, C Gayle, S Narine, V Permaul, K Powell, R Rampaul, K Roach, M Samuels.
