Sky Cricket Podcast: Matt Prior says how England must respond after another heavy World Cup defeat

Cricket - SkySports Podcast

Following defeat to Australia in their opening game, England's eight-wicket thrashing at the hands of New Zealand has left a group stage exit at the World Cup a very real possibility.

Former England wicketkeeper, Matt Prior, tells us how the team must turn things round on the latest Sky Cricket Podcast and we also hear from England skipper Eoin Morgan, as well as get Bob Willis' reaction on The Verdict.

New Zealand chased down a meagre target of 124 in 12.2 overs to win, with Brendon McCullum decimating the England bowling attack with 77 off 25 balls - Steven Finn's two overs punished for 49 runs.

But in truth England lost the game a long time before with another embarrasing display with the bat, bowled out in the 34th over, with Tim Southee picking up figures of seven for 37.

It's the 13th time in their last 19 ODIs that England have been bowled out and Prior believes it's their mentality when batting that has to change.

He also argues the case for James Taylor to return to number three in the batting order and asseses the threat Scotland pose in England's next game.

It's a game that could all but end England's World Cup so Prior emphaises how crucial it is that Morgan rallies his troops.
