Jonathan Trott has been named as captain of an England Lions squad to tour South Africa early next year.
Trott was named in a provisional touring party back in October less than a year after a stress-related illness caused him to quit the senior England side's Ashes series.
And the England and Wales Cricket Board has now confirmed the 33-year-old as skipper for two four-day games against South Africa A, the first of which begins in Paarl on January 11.
Ben Stokes and Harry Gurney, who both missed out on England's World Cup squad after touring Sri Lanka recently, have been named in the Lions' one-day squad to play five 50-over games against South Africa A.
A captain for the one-day squad will be named at a later date.
England Lions four-day squad: Trott (c), Bairstow, Billings, Brooks, Dunn, Lees, Lyth, Overton, Plunkett, Rankin, Rashid, Riley, Robson, Vince, Wood.
