Moeen Ali and James Anderson combined to bowl England to a 266-run, series-levelling win over India in the third Test at Southampton.
India resumed on 112-4 chasing a target of 445 at the start of the final day and were bowled out for 178 before lunch, spinner Moeen adding four more wickets to his two from the previous evening for career-best figures of 6-67.
The result ended a run of 10 Tests without a victory for Alastair Cook's side dating back to last summer and squares the five-match series at 1-1 heading to Old Trafford in a week's time.
Seamer Anderson (2-24), who faces an ICC disciplinary hearing on Friday that could see him banned for the remainder of the series, sent England on the way on day five by having both Rohit Sharma and Mahendra Singh Dhoni caught behind inside the first five overs.
Sharma (6) feathered an edge through to wicketkeeper Jos Buttler and Dhoni (6) got slightly more wood on a similar delivery just outside his off-stump, but with the same end result.
Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja briefly resisted during a 32-run stand before Moeen took centre stage to run through the lower order.
Left-hander Jadeja (15) was bowled aiming to drive out of the rough and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (0) held at gully by Anderson via inside edge and pad later in the same over.
Moeen completed his maiden five-wicket haul in Tests by bowling Mohammad Shami (0) and last man Pankaj Singh (9) then went in the same manner, leaving Rahane unbeaten on 52, his second half-century of the game.
The Worcestershire all-rounder now has 15 wickets in the series, only Anderson (16) has more.
