The opening day of the fourth Ashes Test could break attendance records after Cricket Australia announced all available tickets for the Boxing Day clash against England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground have been sold.
The MCG's official capacity is 100,000 but without all the standing room seats being sold, that figure is reduced to between 98,000 and 99,000.
The current attendance record for a single day is 90,800, also at the MCG, for a West Indies Test against Australia in 1961 but that 52-year-old world record looks set to be smashed.
England begin their Ashes defence at the Gabba in Brisbane on 21 November.
Watch the Ashes live on Sky Sports this winter, beginning with the opening Test at the Gabba. Coverage begins at 11pm on Sky Sports 2 HD on 20 November.
