Former England batsman Marcus Trescothick believes his ex-team-mates will be pushing for an Ashes whitewash this summer.
Trescothick, who was part of the famous Ashes victory of 2005, told Sky Sports England have been on the receiving end too many times to let this opportunity slip.
Australia hit back to thrash their opponents 5-0 Down Under in 2006-07 and Trescothick knows that will be fresh in the players' minds.
"The shoe's on the other foot and it's a nice place for the England boys to be," he said. "There are players within the set-up that will want to return the favour."
Trescothick played a huge part at the top of the batting order eight years ago and he has been pleasantly surprised by the success of Joe Root this summer.
"Opening the batting is a different way of playing, and I was a little bit concerned I have to admit," he added.
"But watching him play like that and to get that score was fantastic and will set him up massively for the future."
