Yorkshire's Jonny Bairstow has left England's tour early for personal reasons, the ECB have confirmed.
Bairstow had played in the 10-wicket second Test over India - scoring just nine in his only chance to bat.
And although he was to remain in the country following the 2-1 series win, he was overlooked for the first of two Twenty20 Internationals - with Jos Buttler getting the nod as England's wicketkeeping batsman.
The 23-year-old has now headed home ahead of the clash in Mumbai.
A statement from the ECB read: "Jonny Bairstow has gone home today from India tour for family reasons."
