Team director Andy Flower believes the restructuring of England's coaching set-up will ultimately make them a stronger force.
With back-to-back Ashes series against Australia on the horizon, Flower's efforts are set to be mainly focused on the longer form of the game. "It will allow me, certainly while the one-day and Twenty20 series are going on, to think and plan and prepare and strategise for the upcoming Test series and the other way round while we're playing Tests," Flower said. "I think the ECB is lucky in that we have resources that can sustain this type of structure and we are looking forward to working together and making this thing work."
