Warwickshire seamer Chris Woakes has been called into the England squad for the third one-day international against Australia at Edgbaston on Wednesday.
Jade Dernbach and Stuart Meaker are unavailable for selection on compassionate grounds as they will be attending the funeral of Tom Maynard alongside their Surrey team-mates.
Meaker was brought into the England squad before Sunday's victory at the Kia Oval as cover for the injured James Anderson, who was replaced by Dernbach as Steven Finn's new-ball partner.
England are still hoping Anderson will be fit following his groin injury, but have brought in Woakes as a precaution for possible inclusion on his home ground.
All-rounder Samit Patel will train with the squad at Edgbaston on Tuesday before being released to play for Nottinghamshire in their Friends Life t20 clash with Lancashire that evening.
Patel will then re-join the England squad for the contest with Australia, who currently trail 2-0 in the five-match series.
