Lancashire all-rounder plays after injection in ankle

Andrew Flintoff has been named in England's starting XI for the NatWest Series decider against India at Lord's on Saturday. Flintoff missed the defeats at Headingley and the Oval that allowed India to come from 3-1 down and square the series. But he has been passed fit for the seventh and final match after having a pain-killing injection in his left ankle. England coach Peter Moores indicated on Friday that Flintoff would play at Lord's providing he suffered no ill-effects from a bowling session in the nets. The Lancashire all-rounder replaces opening batsman Alastair Cook in the only change to the side that lost at the Oval last Wednesday. That means Luke Wright, who smashed a 39-ball half-century while batting at number seven on his debut, retains his place in the team. The Sussex all-rounder looks set to open the batting alongside his county team-mate Matt Prior. Play starts at Lord's at 1015h (BST), you can watch the action live on Sky Sports 2 or follow events by logging on to skysports.com's over-by-over commentary.
