England quick Jimmy Anderson is the latest star to take in the Sporting Chapters hotseat and discuss his illustrious career.

The Burnley-born bowler has become an integral part of his nation's seam attack, claiming 271 wickets from his 72 Test matches to date and helping the side claim back-to-back Ashes victories.

However, the 30-year-old's life has not been without disappointments; he experienced a spell out of the team in the mid-2000s, while his wife Danielle also suffered a miscarriage when he was on tour in Sri Lanka in 2007-08, incidents detailed in his book Jimmy: My Story.

Anderson sat down with skysports.com's Lynsey Hooper to talk about his highs, lows and some of the characters he has played with, including:

EARLY DAYS - his embryonic days as a cricketer and why he initially wanted to be a batsman

JAMES V JIMMY - his quiet off-field persona and aggressive one on it

AWAY FROM HOME - the rigours of touring and the difficulties he has faced while on the road

CAPTAINS - his relationship with Michael Vaughan, and Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen's tenures as England skipper

DYNAMIC DUO - how Andrew Strauss and Andy Flower were able to galvanise English cricket

WISDOM - passing on his experiences to younger members of the team and whether he will take up coaching
