Sixes supremo: Title winner Darren Stevens

Sky Bet

Kent star Darren Stevens claimed the Sky Sports Sixes League crown in the wake of the Clydesdale Bank 40 final at Lord's.

With the clash between Somerset and Surrey providing Marcus Trescothick, Peter Trego, Tom Maynard and Jos Buttler with a chance to snatch the title at the death, Stevens was made to wait.

But although Buttler managed a pair of maximums to sneak into the top 10 of the final standings, Stevens easily clinched victory by three - with Gloucestershire's Kevin O'Brien in second place and Leicestershire's Josh Cobb in third.

Stevens' 31 from 616 balls faced is the fourth-highest total since the competition began in 2004 - still some way short of Ian Blackwell's colossal effort of 45 back in 2005.
