Olly Stone took a career-best 5-44 as Northants bowled out Kent in under 40 overs, en route to an eight-wicket victory at the County Ground.

It was their first triumph on home soil since August 2013, and follows four successive draws at Wantage Road this season.

On a pitch that was green and offering some assistance to the bowlers, Kent were dismissed twice for under 160, after just two days of action that yielded 32 wickets.

Saturday was rained off, before 15 wickets fell on day two and 17 on Monday.
