Glamorgan have signed their former seamer James Harris on a month’s loan from Middlesex.
The 24-year-old returns to his home county having failed to break into Middlesex’s first team so far this season, and will be available across all formats except the clash with his parent club on 26 July.
Glamorgan chief executive Hugh Morris said: “I'm delighted to welcome James back to Glamorgan – even if it is only for a month.
“He's one of the brightest talents we've produced in recent years and clearly there's an opportunity for him to fit straight into our team, not least because of the injuries we've suffered in the bowling department.
"We can provide him with the opportunities to play both four-day and 50-over cricket in this busy period of fixtures, so we're thankful to Angus Fraser and Middlesex."
Fraser himself added: ”James has not played as regularly as any of us would have expected and he has been travelling around the country as support in case of injury.
"A player of his standing needs to be playing regular first team cricket. So when an injury-plagued Glamorgan phoned me to enquire about loaning a bowler, James seemed the obvious candidate."
Harris has been on the periphery of Middlesex’s team due to the continued form and fitness of England’s Steven Finn, as well as Tim Murtagh and Toby Roland-Jones.
Harris has made just five first-class appearances this term, having signed on a three-year deal from Glamorgan in 2012.
