Glamorgan head coach Matthew Mott has criticised former captain Alviro Petersen for not honouring an agreement to rejoin the county this summer.
South Africa international Petersen
completed a short-term move to Glamorgan's LV= County Championship Division Two rivals Essex this week, opting against a return to south Wales.
Australian Mott claims that Glamorgan still hold a pre-contract agreement with the opening batsman that he would return to the county this season as a Kolpak player.
However, a return to the South Africa Test side at the start of 2012 saw Petersen put any international retirement plans on hold, thus changing the terms of a Dragons comeback.

Wales Online, Mott said: "We feel let down because we had a signed agreement in place, which in my world is binding.
"We did seek further clarification and he reassured us he was coming. In that time we had let some opportunities go... we stuck with Alviro because of his relationship with the club. But then he changed his mind."
Petersen made a U-turn on his international future after posting a hundred for the Proteas on his return to the Test side against Sri Lanka at Cape Town in January.
"After he was picked by South Africa again and made the hundred, we got a little bit nervous about what decision he would make," Mott said.
"But we were confident he would still come back because when he had approached us about the Kolpak arrangement last summer, he was a current international. He has chosen to pursue the South Africa route which is fine and we would have understood if he had told us sooner."
Petersen captained Glamorgan throughout the 2011 season and finished as the county's leading run-scorer in first-class cricket with 1,069 runs.
