Glamorgan have signed Nottinghamshire fast bowler Andy Carter on loan for a second time this season.

Carter took 12 wickets in a successful month-long loan spell earlier this season and he has joined the club again for four Championship matches.

Head coach Toby Radford, whose team have won their last three Championship matches to put them third in Division Two, said: "I'm really pleased we've been able to bring Andy Carter back to Glamorgan.

“He added a lot to the side in his previous spell here and he was a good fit with the dressing room so it's great to have a player coming in who can hit the ground running.

"It's crucial to manage the workload of our seam bowlers in what will be a very busy period and we hope the additional depth will enable us to continue our Championship form.”

Carter said: "I really enjoyed my time with Glamorgan and it's great to see them challenging at the top end of division two. It's no surprise to me that they have put themselves in contention because there are a lot of good cricketers at the club and it's a very positive dressing room.

"I'm fully fit and keen to get overs under my belt and get back to taking wickets.”
