Pace bowler Luke Fletcher has committed his future to Nottinghamshire by signing a new three-year deal.
The 25-year-old has taken 22 wickets in seven County Championship Division One matches this season, at an average of 27.77, taking his career total to 186 since his first-class debut in 2008.
Fletcher reportedly spurned the interest of another county to sign a long-term deal and he is determined to repay their loyalty.
"I'm very pleased that the club has shown sufficient faith in me to offer a three-year deal and my aim is to pay that back with my performances," said Fletcher.
"As the years have progressed I've been able to bring more consistency to my game by refining my skills and I'm happy with the cricket that I'm playing."
The county's director of cricket Mick Newell added: "Luke is an important part of our side in all three formats and he has really progressed in recent times.
"He's become a bit of a crowd favourite and rightly so because he is making good contributions in matches."
