Australian batsman Phil Jaques has extended his short-term contract with Nottinghamshire.
The 35-year-old will now remain at Trent Bridge until the completion of the County Championship match against Warwickshire which starts at Edgbaston on June 29.
Jaques initially joined Nottinghamshire on a short-term deal at the start of the season in anticipation of Alex Hales appearing in the Indian Premier League.
Hales was left unsold in the IPL auction but Jaques still forced his way into the Notts side and has already scored 427 Championship runs for the county.
Jaques, who has had previous spells in England with Northamptonshire, Yorkshire and Worcestershire, may also consider a return to Notts next year according to the club's official website.
