Paceman Luke Fletcher has signed a new three-year contract with Nottinghamshire.
The 22-year-old, who made his debut in 2008, has established himself in Notts' first-choice side with 29 wickets in this season's LV= County Championship.
Director of cricket Mick Newell said: "We've seen a steady improvement from Luke ever since he broke into the team and now he needs to make the transition to become a senior player in our ranks.
"He has played very well this season and caused problems for a number of accomplished batsmen. He has proved effective with the new ball and he's earned this contract on merit."
Fletcher added: "I was always keen to stay with Nottinghamshire and I'm pleased to have the security of a three-year contract.
"There are a lot of talented players here and we want to get back in the hunt for trophies."
