A recap of all the action from Tuesday’s county cricket matches.

Durham moved back to the top of the County Championship with Paul Coughlin starring with the ball in an impressive 120-run win over Somerset.

The visitors, set a target of 279 heading into the third day at Chester-le-Street, were dismissed for 158, with Peter Trego's 35 the top score.

Coughlin finished with four wickets off his 10 overs, while Graham Onions also impressed (3-73) as Durham stunned their visitors.

Somerset had looked favourites on the second afternoon with the hosts 101-6, just 65 ahead, before John Hastings' 79 sparked a lower-order fightback.

Paul Collingwood (58), Coughlin (54) and Chris Rushworth (43) also provided strong contributions to leave the game finely poised.

But just as they had done with the bat, Durham's bowlers turned on the power with the ball to condemn Somerset to a fourth defeat from their opening six County Championship matches.

Coughlin was particularly impressive, bowling six maidens during his 10-over spell, while wicketkeeper Michael Richardson took five catches.
