Glamorgan comfortably completed their third successive County Championship Division Two victory when they defeated Surrey by seven wickets in Guildford with 29 overs to spare.

The Welsh side had collapsed to 54-5 earlier in the match in reply to Surrey's first innings total of 406 before recovering thanks to a double hundred from Graham Wagg and 92 from Mark Wallace.

Surrey then collapsed in their second innings and Glamorgan chased down the runs required for victory as they finished on 247-3, the first time they have won three Championship matches on the bounce since May 2010.

The home side resumed the final day on 276-8 but after five balls their innings was over.

With his fourth delivery - and Vikram Solanki's first of the day - Wagg removed Solanki's middle stump before bowling Stuart Meaker with the next ball.

That left the visitors 93 overs to chase the 276 needed to win and they were given a solid start by Jacques Rudolph and Will Bragg, with the left-handed combination putting on 77 before Rudolph (40) drove Gareth Batty to mid-on.

Bragg was then joined by Ben Wright, playing in only his second Championship game of the season, and neither seemed to be unduly troubled by a Surrey attack missing Chris Tremlett for all but five overs because of a hamstring injury.

Rudolph had earlier smashed Zafar Ansari for three successive fours in his first over, and neither Ansari nor fellow spinner Batty managed to attract any turn from the dry pitch.

Bragg was the first to reach a half-century, with Wright also reaching the same landmark.

The second-wicket pair had put on 128 in nearly 38 overs before Wright was sent back by his partner after he set off for a risky single and he was comfortably run out at the bowler's end for 68.

Colin Ingram went after Ansari, hitting him onto the members' tent at long-on, but Bragg was dismissed for 83 with 17 still needed when he nicked Aneesh Kapil through to the wicketkeeper.

But Glamorgan were not to be denied and they sealed the win with a session to spare to record back-to-back away Championship wins in Surrey for the first time.

The win takes Glamorgan to within 12 points of Surrey, who are second in Division Two, but Glamorgan have a game in hand.
