Surrey needed 5.5 overs on the fourth day to wrap up a 10-wicket win over Derbyshire in Division Two of the LV= County Championship.
Openers Zafar Ansari (15 not out) and Rory Burns, who ended up unbeaten on five, saw the visitors to their meagre victory target at Derby, securing them a 23-point haul on their travels.
The result was a formality after Derbyshire had been bowled out for 288 in their second innings just before the close on day three, despite an unbeaten half-century from David Wainwright.
Ansari claimed 4-96 with his left-arm off-spin to complete a fine all-round match – he had struck a century in Surrey’s first innings of 421, before then seeing them to their first four-day triumph on the road since the penultimate game of the 2011 season.
Over at Cardiff, Michael Hogan claimed a match haul of 10 wickets to help Glamorgan thump Kent by an innings and 11 runs for their second County Championship win of the season.
The Australian seamer followed up his 5-58 in the first innings with 5-67 in the second to finish with match figures of 10-125, helping Glamorgan wrap up victory just before lunch to claim a valuable haul of 24 points to Kent's three, with the maximum points seeing the Welsh side move up the table from sixth to fourth.
Resuming on 137-5, Kent’s demise was hastened as early as the 10th ball of the day when they lost Darren Stevens for 60 when he drove through the covers and was caught by Ben Wright to give Hogan his eighth wicket of the contest.
Sam Billings (14) then edged a swinging Graham Wagg ball which was caught behind by Mark Wallace, before Dean Cosker had Mitchell Claydon caught at slip for 17.
Adam Ball offered some resistance as he went to 50 but he chopped Hogan on to his stumps and the bowler claimed his 10th wicket when having Robbie Joseph (10) caught at second slip.
Saeed Ajmal took six wickets for 13 runs in a magical 36-ball spell to give Worcestershire a 234-run victory over Leicestershire on the final day at Grace Road.
A partnership of 47 runs between Dan Redfern and Niall O'Brien suggested Leicestershire could stretch the game out - but then Ajmal took centre stage.
The home batsmen had no answer to the mystery spin of the Pakistan star and crashed from 145-4 to 169 all out.
It was Worcestershire's fourth win of the season and Leicestershire's fourth successive home defeat.
Worcestershire are now second in the table one point behind Hampshire, while Leicestershire have not won a Championship game since September 2012.
