Regular updates from Monday's County Championship matches.

DIVISION ONE

Yorkshire v Hampshire

Hampshire 127-4 – Trouble for Hampshire as they reply to Yorkshire's 370 all out. They were going nicely on 83-1 but they've lost a few quick wickets. After losing Sean Terry to a 14-ball duck, Michael Carberry (66no) and Liam Dawson (40) added 75. But Will Rhodes got one to lift on Dawson, who could only fend to Jack Leaning in the slip cordon. Jack Brooks has now removed James Vince (6) lbw - and, next ball - Will Smith, trying to leave the ball but deflecting it to Adam Lyth in the slips. Sean Ervine (14no) denied Brooks a hat-trick, and Hants will need a typically gritty innings from the Zimbabwean. Yorkshire began day two on 333-7. Bresnan, 23no overnight, departed for 28, James Tomlinson taking his third wicket of the innings. Leaning, who looked destined for a century yesterday, fell for 82, trapped in front by Tomlinson. And finally, Fidel Edwards took a wicket. The West Indian dismissed last man Brooks for nine.

Warwickshire v Worcestershire

Warwickshire 321-8 – The Warwickshire tail is taking this match away from Worcestershire. Chris Wright (61no) and Boyd Rankin (56no) are having some serious later-order fun - they've added 114 for the ninth wicket so far and the lead, with four session left in the match, is now 436. Earlier Varun Chopra scored 107. The Bears resumed on 105-2 but the visitors took three early wickets this morning. Joe Leach removed Laurie Evans (16) and Tim Ambrose (6) and Charlie Morris then caught Rikki Clarke (1) off his own bowling. Keith Barker (43) though stopped the rot and helped Chopra add 66. Both men departed to the spin of Moeen Ali, but then Wright and Rankin - with his maiden first-class 50 - rubbed salt in the wounds. Sam Hain will play no part in the rest of the match after injuring his shoulder whilst fielding yesterday.

Durham v Nottinghamshire

Notts 79-2 – It's been Nottinghamshire's day so far at Chester-le-Street. Durham resumed on 69-3 in reply to to Notts' 245, and they were bowled out for 163, 82 behind. Scott Borthwick and Mark Richardson got them up to 110-3. But they then lost three wickets without adding a run. Vernon Philander trapped Richardson in front for 19, then in the next over Luke Wood removed Borthwick (18). Back came Philander, and he found the edge of Calum MacLeod, who departed for a second-ball duck. Phil Mustard was pinned in front by Hutton for 17, and Paul Collingwood (14) became Wood's second victim. John Hastings was lbw to Philander for 15 and Wood splattered Graham Onions' stumps. In their second innings, Notts lost Brendan Taylor early - Onions got him, lbw for four, and Chris Rushworth got rid of Notts' other opener, Steven Mullaney, for 33, caught behind. James Taylor (22no) and Alex Hales (16no) are well set.

Sussex v Middlesex

Middlesex 71-4 – What a game this is between the top two. Sussex conceded a 77-run first innings lead to Middlesex at Hove but it's too close to call. Replying to Middlesex's 269, Sussex resumed this morning on 66-3 and were bowled out for 192. Ben Brown top-scored with a defiant 46. Sussex's bowlers had a big job to claw the team back into the match and they are doing just that. Oliver Robinson dismised Nick Gubbins for six - a good start - and Steve Magoffin bowled Sam Robson for 15. Nick Compton (33) was then brilliantly run out by sub Simon Harmer with a superb throw on the dive, and James Franklin departed first ball to Magoffin. Middlesex lead by 145 - it's anyone's game.

DIVISION TWO

Surrey v Leicestershire

Surrey 346-8 –  Kevin Pietersen is closing on a double century at the Oval - he's 177no now off 259 balls. He began the morning 35no against Leicestershire and he cruised to his century just before lunch off 153 balls. KP has held the team together too. He lost overnight partner Kumar Sangakkara (36) to the ninth ball of the day from Clint McKay. Ben Raine then removed Steve Davies (6) and Jason Roy (27) nicked Charlie Shreck behind. Gary Wilson (18) and Gareth Batty (15) have departed to the spin of Jagir Naik and Tom Curran edged McKay behind.

Lancashire v Gloucestershire

Lancashire 174-2 – A great start to Lancashire's reply to Gloucestershire's 388. Luis Reece's lean run has continued - the opener fell to Liam Norwell, who is in the form of his life it seems, for 16. Alviro Petersen (7), also fell cheaply, bowled by Craig Miles. But Paul Horton (92no) and Ashwell Prince (35no) are galloping along nicely. Earlier there was a decent effort from the Gloucestershire tail, which took them from 322-7 to 388 all out. Kieran Noema-Barnett scored 33, Craig Miles 16 and David Payne 18. Kyle Jarvis (4-121) took two wickets, Peter Siddle the other.

Derbyshire v Northants

Northants 309-7 – Ton-up David Willey (101no) and Josh Cobb (95) put on 163 for the seventh wicket to rescue their team against Derbyshire, who posted 343 yesterday. Nightwatchman Azharullah fell for a duck, Tom Taylor taking the wicket, and the man who scored a brilliant 137no yesterday - Matthew Critchley - took the catch. Critchley and Taylor put on 162 for the eighth wicket yesterday. Stephen Peters (14) and Kyle Coetzer (13) both edged Mark Footitt behind and Rob Newton was dismissed by Ben Cotton for just one. Rob Keogh (31) and Alex Rossington (14) both fell to the promising Taylor, Chesney Hughes taking both catches. That left Northants 101-6 but Cobb and Willey counter-attacked brilliantly before Cobb fell to Shiv Thakor five short of his ton. Willey - who scored his century off just 98 balls, is still there. He's hit five sixes and 10 fours so far.

Kent v Glamorgan

Glamorgan 160-5 - Kent are on top at Canterbury. First they added 27 runs to their overnight 330-8, Matt Coles scoring 25, and there was a wicket apiece for Craig Meschede and Michael Hogan. Coles then took a big, big wicket - that of Glamorgan skipper Jacques Rudolph, bowled for six. Ivan Thomas then removed James Kettleborough, lbw for 23. And Colin Ingram, the Kiwi import, fell for a duck to the all-action Coles, leaving Glamorgan limping on 41-3. Will But Will Bragg (75no) and Chris Cooke (19) added 67 before Darren Stevens did for the latter. Mark Wallace (17) then nicked Thomas behind.
