Sussex have signed former England bowler Ajmal Shahzad from Nottinghamshire on a three-year deal.
The 29-year-old ex-Yorkshire and Lancashire seamer was granted an early release from his Trent Bridge contract and joins left-armer Tymal Mills from Essex on the arrivals list at Hove.
Shahzad said: "It has come about quickly but I'm just delighted to be down here and I hope it brings out the best in me."
Shahzad has over 200 first-class wickets to his name and also averaged 29 with his aggressive lower-order batting for Notts last season.
Sussex's professional cricket manager Mark Robinson sees parallels with another sometime international on the club's books.
Robinson said: "He is a cricketer of great ability and who hasn't yet fulfilled all of his potential. He can bowl with a yard of pace and has the potential to be a genuine bowling all-rounder.
"We hope he can have a similar impact that Chris Jordan had and fulfil the same role helping balance the team."
