Updates from around the grounds in the County Championship...

DIVISION ONE

Nottinghamshire v Sussex

Sussex 150 all out: Nottinghamshire have done it - their first win of the season in Division One, and they've done it with a day and a half to spare at Trent Bridge. Sussex bowled Notts out for 243 earlier, not before Samit Patel got to his 100, which meant the visitors had to chase 310 to win. Harry Gurney (5-43), Jake Ball (3-18) and Luke Wood (2-35) then ripped through the Sussex line-up, only Luke Wright (39) and Steve Magoffin (35) showing any sticking power.

Hampshire v Worcestershire

Hampshire 169-5: A big wicket at Southampton, and it's Worcestershire's new go-to partnership breaker Joe Leach who has it. He's dismissed Adam Wheater for 52, that after the keeper had put on 67 with Will Smith (24no). Hampshire are 12 behind, and have five wickets left. They will have to bat for virtually the rest of the day to salvage a draw. Smith is going the right way about it - he's occupied the crease for over two hours so far, facing over 80 balls.

Middlesex v Warwickshire

Latest Cricket Stories

Middlesex 44-0: Middlesex have potentially set themselves up for a victory charge in the final session of the match. The target is 270 - and they have the players in the line-up, the likes of Joe Burns, James Franklin and Eoin Morgan, who can score very, very quickly. They earlier skittled out the Bears for 187. The draw remains favourite at Lord's though.

DIVISION TWO

Essex v Leicestershire

Leics 163-4: Leicestershire have DONE IT! Their first win since September 2012 and they are CELEBRATING at Chelmsford. Angus Robson did the hard yards with 71 this morning, but Andrea Agathangelou - on his debut! - smacked 42no off 41 balls and Lewis Hill (18no) helped him get to their victory target of 163. Congratulations to the Foxes who achieve their first Championship victory in 38 attempts.

Surrey v Lancashire

Surrey 135-0: Surrey are making hay at the Oval, but it's no more than batting practice as the match heads for a draw. Lancashire were finally bowled out for 429 this morning, the tail wagging in a big way. Kyle Jarvis hit 47 and No 11 Simon Kerrigan added 34no which means they conceded a first innings deficit of just 19. But Rory Burns (85no) and Zafar Ansari (47no) are tucking in to a tired Lancashire attack.

Glamorgan v Northants

Glamorgan 57-0: Game, set and match to Glamorgan, who have hammered Northants by 10 wickets in Cardiff. Northants, following on, were bowled out for 269 earlier. Adam Rossington (55) did his best, and the last pair of Azharullah (14no) and Maurice Chambers (14) added a few, but it left the hosts just 55 to win. Skipper Jacques Rudolph (29no) and Will Bragg (26no) got their team home.

Derbyshire v Gloucestershire

Derbyshire 118-4: Derbyshire have been rescued by skipper Billy Godleman, who is 36no off 134 balls, and Shiv Thakor. They were in considerable trouble earlier on 63-4 after the skippers got together and contrived to set the hosts a target of 302 to win. There is no chance of that now, and Godleman and Thakor (31no off 80) will try to bat this one out for a draw.
