Warwickshire fast bowler Chris Wright has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a stress fracture in his back.
Wright, the Bears' leading wicket-taker last season with 67 victims as Warwickshire won the County Championship, pulled out of last week's match with Middlesex and was unable to bowl in the second innings.
Wright tweeted: "Will miss (the season) due to a stress fracture but will return stronger and better."
The 27-year-old moved to Edgbaston from Essex on loan in 2011 before earning a permanent deal.
He signed a new four-year contract earlier this summer and earned a call-up into the England Lions squad.
The injury means he will be out of action for around six months.
