Northants and England ODI all-rounder David Willey has been ruled out until the end of July with an ankle ligament injury.
Willey hurt his ankle in a collision with Worcestershire's Jack Shantry during last Friday's T20 clash.
The news is a blow for the all-rounder, who has had more than his fair share of injuries in recent years.
He will however be up and running before England's next one-day international which is against Ireland on 27 August. The precedes one T20 match and five ODIs against the Australians.
A statement from the club said: “David sustained ankle ligament damage in our T20 at New Road. An MRI showed a low grade strain that will keep him sidelined until the back end off July”.
