Glamorgan have appointed former South Africa batsman Jimmy Cook on a short-term coaching contract.
The 59-year-old is no stranger to county cricket having enjoyed a successful spell with Somerset in his playing days.
Cook boasted a first-class average of over 50 throughout his career as well as making three Test and four One-Day International appearances for the Proteas.
He will now join up with the Welsh county and assist Glamorgan's head of elite performance Matthew Mott. Glamorgan's cricket consultant, Brian Rose, also formerly of Somerset, is pleased to have Cook on board.
"I am delighted that Glamorgan have brought Jimmy over," he said.
"His playing and coaching experience will undoubtedly be of significant benefit to both Glamorgan and Welsh cricket."
