Warwickshire will continue with their policy of not recruiting more overseas players for their Twenty20 campaign this year.
The Bears - unlike almost every other county - have opted against bringing in players on lucrative short-term deals to play in Twenty20 cricket.
Warwickshire's new director of cricket, Dougie Brown, said: "I am 100 per cent behind that policy.
"It's not just a question of cost. We feel there is another way to achieve success. We already have the players here to be competitive.
"The guys here have performed well in 40-over cricket in recent years and I am sure they can do the same in Twenty20."
New Zealand off-spinner Jeetan Patel is the Bears' overseas player this year and is available for the entire campaign.
