Rikki Clarke has received a three-point penalty for breaching the disciplinary code, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have confirmed.
Clarke was reported by umpires Mark Benson and Neil Bainton for a Level One breach of the code - showing dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action - during the LV= County Championship match between Warwickshire and Worcestershire, which began on August 8.
As the incident was within 24 months of a previous offence, the 30-year-old has been handed a three-point penalty.
The penalty will remain on Clarke's disciplinary record for a period of two years and the accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two-year period will see him automatically suspended from cricket.
