England are likely to make one change to their starting XI for the second Test against West Indies in Grenada, which starts on Tuesday.

The tourists have a doubt over spinner James Tredwell who hurt his arm in the closing stages of last week’s drawn first Test in Antigua as he dived in vain to take a catch.

Spin bowling all-rounder Moeen Ali is therefore set to return to the side after he joined the squad on Saturday after recovering from an abdominal injury suffered at the World Cup.

Skipper Alastair Cook has also held open the possibility that Tredwell could remain in the team, if he is passed fit, alongside Moeen if the pitch appeared responsive, although leg-spinner Adil Rashid is another option for England.

"We will just have to have a look,” said Cook. “We haven't got too much information because the last Test match here was in 2009.

Moeen Ali is in line to be recalled to the England team for the second Test match against West Indies, live on Sky.

"So we're going to have to look at that wicket, use our experience and try and pick the best side.

"But it's great to have Mo back. He was a big part of our success in the summer, with his wickets, and it certainly adds competition for selection."

The West Indies starting XI will also have at least one change to the side that earned a draw in Antigua, after spinner Sulieman Benn was dropped.

Benn recorded disappointing match figures of 2-200 in the opening encounter and has been replaced by medium pacer Shannon Gabriel in the 14-man squad.

The omission of Benn leaves Devendra Bishoo as the only specialist in the squad, meaning he could get the nod to start.

England were frustrated by a fine rearguard action from West Indies on the final day of the first Test, led by an unbeaten century from Jason Holder, and Cook is ready for another tactical battle.

"As captain that's why it's such a good job for a lot of the time," he added.

"You have to think on your feet, at times you have to be proactive and at others you have to sit in.

"You have to do different things. It certainly wasn't a three slips and a gully wicket in Antigua, where you let the ball do the work.

"I thought the way we built a lot of pressure on their scoring rate, particularly in the field, was good and that created a few poles for us. I don't think the blueprint will change too much here unless the wicket surprises us."

The game is only the third Test to be played at Grenada and a crowd of more than 11,000 is expected on the first two days on an island with a population just over 100,000.
