England all-rounder Ben Stokes hit back at fans who abused him on Twitter over his no-ball which led to a wicket against the West Indies.
The Durham player was bombarded with criticism over the incident where he stepped over the line before dismissing Jermaine Blackwood on day two in Antigua.
Blackwood, who had edged the delivery to Alastair Cook at first slip before the umpire ruled a no ball, remains unbeaten on 30.
Stokes responded to the negative comments before later apologising.
He wrote: “Tweets about the no ball flooding in, so tomorrow I won't try, bowl 4 foot behind the line and bowl 70mph...then your all happy.”
The all-rounder later added: “Unfortunately when trying hard you can get tight on the line...apologies people, will try to make it up tomorrow.”
The Windies are 155-4, 244 runs behind England’s first innings total.
Stokes made 79 in the tourists' first innings of 399, in his first game for England since the tour of Sri Lanka last year.
