Sri Lanka duo Tillakaratne Dilshan and Thisara Perera have been fined part of their match fee for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during their win over England on Wednesday.

Dilshan had 25 per cent of his match fee deducted for excessive appealing while Perera was given a 20 per cent penalty for behavior which was “contrary to the spirit of the game or brings the game into disrepute”.

The pair admitted the charges and were given a warning without the need for a disciplinary hearing.

The charges over the Level One breaches were made by the umpires during Sri Lanka’s 25-run win.

All Level One breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand and a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of a player’s match fee.
