Leicestershire batsman Matthew Boyce and fast bowler Ollie Freckingham have agreed new contracts with the club.

Boyce has signed a one-year extension which keeps him at Grace Road until at least the end of next season and Freckingham has signed a similar extension which keeps him at the club until the end of 2016.

Boyce captained Leicestershire second XI to an unprecedented treble in 2014, with the team winning the T20 competition, the Trophy and the Championship.

Freckingham made a huge breakthrough last season and was named the club’s bowler of the year, but this season was wrecked by illness and injuries. He made just three appearances in the County Championship.
