Sachin Tendulkar has been dismissed for just 10 in India's first innings in the first Test against the West Indies in Kolkata.
Tendulkar, who will retire from cricket after the second Test - his 200th Test match - was out lbw to off-spinner Shane Shillingford in the first session on the second day at Eden Gardens.
The 40-year-old's dismissal after 41 minutes at the crease plunged the huge crowd into near silence.
He had started his brief innings in promising form, hitting two early boundaries but lasted just 24 balls before he was given out by umpire Nigel Llong.
Tendulkar came to the wicket with India on 79-3 after the visitors had earlier made a total 234 from their first innings.
