Sussex have released Joe Gatting and Andrew Miller at the end of the 2013 season.
Right-handed batsman Gatting made his debut for the county in 2009 and went on to play in 35 first-class matches during his five seasons at Hove.
The son of former professional footballer Steve Gatting, the 25-year-old looked set to follow in his dad's footsteps at Brighton & Hove Albion until deciding to instead focus on a career in cricket.
Miller, meanwhile, joined the Sharks before the start of the campaign on a one-year deal after impressing on a pre-season tour to South Africa and Dubai.
The former Warwickshire fast bowler featured in all three formats of the game during the summer but has not been retained for 2014 and beyond.
"It is always a sad time when we release any player but both are still young and we hope a change of environment will help them fulfil their potential," Sussex manager Mark Robinson said on the county's website.
"Andy and Joe have been model professionals and we would like to thank them both for their hard work and commitment they have shown during their time here at the club. We wish them both all the best for the future."
