New Zealand's Trent Boult is expecting England to come out firing in the opening Test at Lord's on Thursday.

Left-arm seamer Boult claimed 11 wickets in the drawn three-match series between the same sides in New Zealand in March, which ended 0-0 after England's batsmen hung on in the third Test.

"We're in their home town now and we know they're a world-class side," Boult, 23, told Sky Sports News.

New Zealand assistant coach Bob Carter thinks Graeme Swann and Tim Bresnan are key inclusions to the England squad.

"They are definitely going to hit us hard. We are expecting that and are ready for it."

New Zealand beat Derbyshire by 107 runs in their opening tour match before a rain-affected draw with England Lions at Grace Road.

"We got as much as we could out of the warm-up games we had in Derby and Leicester," said Boult.

On the prospect of playing at Lord's for the first time, he added: "There is no doubt there's a great feel to the ground. It's awesome to be here.

"A big opportunity lies ahead of us and we're looking forward to taking it on."

New Zealand assistant coach Bob Carter accepts the tourists are facing a big task against England in the two-Test series.

Carter said: "I think they are a very fine team and having Graeme Swann back in their squad will add to that, along with Tim Bresnan who has also been included.

"We are looking for a really tough contest. We know what a fine side they are, we know what we're up against, we've done our scouting and hopefully we can deliver out on the park."
