Leicestershire have signed Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hasan for this season's Friends Life t20 campaign.
The all-rounder, 26, will join Australian Joe Burns as they mount a challenge for a fourth title.
Shakib, once the top-ranked all-rounder in world cricket, is prolific batsman and useful off-spinner.
Leicestershire coach Phil Whitticase said: "I'm really pleased that we have been able to sign a player who was recently ranked the best one-day player in the world.
"Shakib's record is exceptional and I am looking forward to him helping us to achieve success in the T20 this year."
There will be one familiar face in the changing room for Shakib - Josh Cobb, who will captain the Foxes in the t20 tournament, was a team-mate in the Dhaka Gladiators side which won the Bangladesh Premier League.
County chief Mike Siddall said: "We are delighted to sign a player of Shakib's experience and calibre."
