Warwickshire batsman Will Porterfield has signed a two-year contract extension with the County Championship Division One champions.
Brown also wants all-rounder Rikki Clarke to sign a new contract at the club. Clarke, who has played in two Tests and 20 ODIs for England is currently part of the Lions squad touring Australia and Brown is keen to open talks with the 31-year-old when he returns. "Rikki is a crucial member of the squad and we would be delighted if he signed an extension," said Brown, who succeeded Ashley Giles as Warwickshire director of cricket in January. "While he is in Australia with the England Lions, he will be concentrating on that. But it (the new contract) is something we will be looking to get on to straight after he gets back."
